Working with TW Ryan Architects, Grounded helped integrate a modern addition to an existing home and pool with the site for a newly-joined family of eight. A memory garden pays homage to a lost parent from each family and highlights the favorite flowers of the late loved ones.

Grounded expanded the useable lawn space so that the six children have room to run. Lawn spaces to either side of the pool create functional, useable space for kids to play and activate previously underutilized and cluttered space. A new driveway directs family and guests to the main house, separating public areas from private. To the rear of the drive sits a basketball court for the husband and kids’ enjoyment. A clean and textural planting design with swaths of grasses and a sloped tree allée compliment the modern addition to the residence.
